Girls Youth WrestlingWrestlingBemidji Girls Youth Wrestling is for girls in grades PK-6. 6th grade girls have the option to either practice with the BMS wrestling program or with Bemidji Youth Wrestling. Wrestlers must be 4 years old when the wrestling season starts but do not need to be enrolled in a preschool. There is a T/TH option and a M/T/TH option for each age level and season. Only those that have at least one year of wrestling experience will be eligible for the M/T/TH option. T/TH practices are at Gene Dillon Elementary. Grades 4-5 practice from 330-500 and Grades K-3 practice from 500-600. There will be separate girls practices and coaches during the T/TH practices. Wrestlers in grades 4-5 will be chaperoned in the Aux Gym from after their dismissal time until practice starts at 330. Monday practices are from 615-745 in the BHS Wrestling Room (combined boys and girls grades K-6). All sections are broken up into two seasons. You must register for a season before your child will be allowed to participate. In order for coaches to successfully build on the foundations established during Season 1, wrestlers must participate in Season 1 in order to be eligible to register for Season 2. Exceptions may be made with coach's discretion. Season 1: December 8th - January 22nd Season 2: January 26th- March 5th Registration fee includes T-shirt. Registration for Bemidji Youth Wrestling Tournament will be covered for those registered in Community Ed Youth Wrestling. All wrestlers are invited to Youth Wrestling night on January 29th to watch the BHS Lumberjacks battle the DGF Rebels.
