Cross Country SkiingThe Lumberjack SkiSparks Club meets each Monday after school at Gene Dillon Elementary. Sessions will be lead by experienced volunteer coaches. Participants will learn about cross country skiing and spend time practicing on the trails behind Gene Dillon Elementary. A limited number of rental skis are available. FootballThe Bemidji High School Football program and Bemidji Community Education partner to provide a fun flag football program for boys and girls in grades K-5. Practices are twice a week and start in late April each year. Grades K-3 practices at the BHS football fields and grades 4-5 practice on the GDE football fields. Practices will be run by BHS coaches and players and will include fun drills and games.Category

Kids & Company/Summer KidsKids & Company Kids & Company is an after school program for students in Kindergarten - 5th grades that need a safe, supervised place after school (until 6:00pm). Our program operates each school day at Bemidji Elementary Schools (Gene Dillon, Horace May, Lincoln, Northern and Solway). Rates: $12/day for Full-Time, $13/day for Part-Time (1-4 set days a week) Registration Fee: $30 Early Release Days: $20 Summer Kids Summer Kids is an all day child care program for students entering 1st - 5th grades. We are located at Bemidji Middle School and the program runs 7:30am - 6:00pm, June 16th, 2025-August 8, 2025. Preschool ScreeningIn Minnesota, all children are required to complete early childhood screening before they enter Kindergarten in a public school. Ideally, children should be screened at 3 years of age. The screening is a check of the child’s health and development. Results of the screening help identify health or learning concerns that may require special attention before the child enters kindergarten. There is no cost for this screening. Screening includes: Hearing & Vision Checks, Height & Weight Measurements, Speech & Language Assessment, and Developmental Observations. Please fill out the 5 screening forms prior to your appointment. Forms can be scanned and emailed to Eileen_Campbell@isd31.net or brought to your appointment.
