Join Kalley’s hands-on class to learn the basics of sourdough bread making, including background on maintaining a starter, ingredients for simple and nutritious bread, and how to work the dough- from mixing ingredients, to a loaf fresh out of the oven! Each participant will receive the following to start them on their sourdough journey: a jar of mature, active sourdough starter to feed and maintain at home, a banneton basket, a dough scraper, a classic sourdough loaf to enjoy, and a packet with class notes, recipes, a sample bread baking schedule, and helpful tips.
