You don’t need a journalism degree or previously published articles to write for anyone’s online blog, magazine, or website. Some opportunities offer exposure, while many pay well — $1 a word and more. In this fast-paced session, you will learn how to: Find ideas, sources, and more than 1,000 opportunities that pay; conduct interviews and create interesting content; protect your copyright; write query letters; use this credibility to sell other articles or even your self-published novel. How to Publish Your Book Without Going Broke
So, you’ve written a book. Now what? Whether you've written the great American novel and want to share it with the world, or your memoirs to pass on to family and friends—this class is for you. In Session One, you’ll learn how to prepare your manuscript for publishing, understand the business of selling books, and explore tips on marketing and promotion. Sessions Two and Three will be hands-on: you’ll prepare your manuscript (and images) in Microsoft Word, set up a Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) account, upload your files, and publish your book on Amazon.Session Four will focus on public relations and marketing platforms, including social media, and effective strategies for promoting your book. A detailed publishing guide will be emailed prior to the first class. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. June Anderson has written and published a dozen books of her own and has helped countless others publish theirs. Todd Anderson brings 30 years of experience in the printing industry, specializing in book design, formatting, and production.
