Emergency Response & Safe Sleep (for infants)

This hands-on, non-certification class is designed for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone caring for an infant from newborn to 12 months of age. Participants will learn essential lifesaving skills to help respond confidently during an emergency. Topics include infant CPR, choking prevention and relief, emergency response techniques, and current safe sleep

recommendations aimed at reducing the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID).

During the class, participants will practice skills using infant CPR manikins and real-time feedback devices to improve CPR quality and confidence.Hands-on practice will also include infant choking response techniques and emergency scenarios.

  • Infant CPR (newborn to 12 months)
  • Choking prevention and response
  • Safe sleep guidelines
  • Reducing the risk of SUID and sleep-related infant deaths
  • Recognizing infant emergencies
  • When and how to call for help.

Hands-on practice with CPR manikins and feedback technology. This educational course is designed to increase knowledge, confidence, and preparedness for anyone caring for an infant. This is not a certification course and does not provide an American Heart Association or other CPR certification card.
