Learned Optimism: Building a More Positive and Resilient Life
What if optimism is not simply something you are born with, but a skill you can learn? Drawing on psychologist Martin Seligman’s research on learned optimism, this engaging and practical workshop explores how the ways we explain life’s setbacks can influence resilience, motivation, and well-being. Participants will learn the differences between optimistic and pessimistic
explanatory styles, examine their own patterns of thinking, and practice evidence-based strategies for responding more constructively to challenges. Through discussion, reflection, and practical exercises, participants will leave with tools they can use to cultivate greater optimism and resilience in everyday life.
