Adult Enrichment / Arts & Crafts -
Winter/Spring 2026
Join instructor Mary Morton for a hands-on exploration of pysanky, the traditional Ukrainian art of decorating eggs using the wax-resist (batik) method. You’ll learn to create intricate, colorful designs while discovering the rich history and symbolism behind this centuries-old craft.
Pysanky has long been a beloved spring tradition, celebrating new life, renewal, and good fortune. Originally believed to protect against evil, these designs later intertwined with Christian customs, making each egg a meaningful work of art. No prior experience is needed—bring your creativity and curiosity, and leave with a beautiful pysanky to treasure or share! All supplies included.
