In this one-day workshop, learn how to turn a jelly roll and batting into a beautiful, functional rug! Create a small rug perfect for a bathroom, or keep connecting jelly rolls to make a large rug for your den. Once you master this technique, you can also create tote bags, purses, and much more. Important Prep: Please sew your jelly roll strips together at an angle end-to-end before class. (Contact the instructor if you have questions. ) 

Skill Level: Must know how to operate a sewing machine, change needles, and adjust tension.

Supplies (available at Hooked on Quilts)

• Jelly Roll of Fabric (or 42 pre-cut 2.5" strips)
• Pattern
• 2 rolls of batting or 50 yards pre-cut 2.25" batting strips
• Clover Fabric Tube Maker Tool
• Wonder Clips
• Thread
• Zigzag Plate
• Knee Lift
• Walking Foot or Dual Feed Machine
  Straight Pins
• Slide-on Tray or Large Sew Steady Table

Recommended: Use a heavy-duty needle (such as a denim needle 90/14) to handle the bulk of the strips. Machines: Sewing machines are available for use at the shop. Please notify the shop if you need one reserved.
